About Baba Baidyanath Temple
Baidyanath Dham is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the most sacred abodes of Shiva. It is in Deoghat in the Santhal Parganas division of the State of Jharkhand, India. It is a temple complex consisting of the main temple of Baba Baidya Nath, where the Jyotirlinga is placed and has 21 other temples in the Complex. According to the Hindi calendar, in the month of Shravan, Shiva devotees travel 105 km from Sultanganj with Gangajal to reach Deoghar and offer prayers to Lord Shiva. The view of this journey is quite panoramic and grand.
